The Ministry of Economy, Digitalisation, Entrepreneurship and Tourism has approved an expropriation value of 205,640 lei for the land needed to expand the Podișor and Bibești compression stations. Order No. 1.188/2026, published in the Official Gazette of Romania No. 649 of 6 August 2026, sets the amount that the National Natural Gas Transmission Company “Transgaz” will pay as just compensation to the landowner, as part of a project declared of national importance by Government Decision No. 760/2025.

The project aims to increase transmission capacity in the National Transmission System for supplying natural gas to the combined-cycle power plants at Mintia, Ișalnița and Turceni, as well as to local authorities and other industrial consumers in the area.
